Hey, it's me again, Mr. Stupid Question. I've never done mile repeats, but I've read about them. What are the floats? I am guessing it's a recover period, but what exactly do you do?
Never a stupid question. You're right on the money, floats = recovery period. They should be long enough to drop your HR a tad but short enough that you're not fully recovered before you start the next interval. Make sense? I run at an easy pace during this time, 2 min/per mile slower then my fast pace. Some people walk. 1600's help increase your long endurance speed.

very solid mile repeats.. You're sounding very ready for Pdx 'thon.
I just hope it's enough to pull out a sub 3:40
