Your assessment on your bike leg sounds on - you could have spanked it harder if you had tapered, but better to race through it early in the season: you'll be faster next race with same effort.

As for the run, I can see being a bit disappointed if this was an end-of-season race and you came up just short of passing a contender. However, you have to remember you're training for the whole season, building up toward your target race. The fact that you enjoyed the run is a great sign.

You'll push the run harder at Pac Crest, of course, which will give you strength for Canada, but it's a process of building over the next two months. I wouldn't second-guess your effort, as it looks like a well-planned performance.Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03678473615672024524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993607149758556011.post-66648969185448204782009-06-14T19:07:19.363-07:002009-06-14T19:07:19.363-07:00awesome result - I don't think you've lost...awesome result - I don't think you've lost your race drive, you enjoy pain too much - it just sounds like you're thinking like an "ironman", using patience.... :) way to go!cherellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13643258879501877022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993607149758556011.post-43154976573945925472009-06-14T18:45:30.888-07:002009-06-14T18:45:30.888-07:00WOW!
